Women’s Partial Hospitalization Program: Why Choose Fuller Hospital?
Your focus is often on your loved ones, your job and your community. Here, you can focus on yourself and your mental health needs. The women’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Fuller Hospital, for women 18 and older, promotes healing alongside other women with similar life experiences.
Our women’s group is an uplifting and supportive space where you can feel seen and supported by those who understand where you’ve been and can help you discover where you’re headed.
The women’s PHP, which typically lasts two to four weeks or longer, helps you process your past and grow into your future.
Highlights of the women’s partial hospitalization program include:
- Unique therapy for women: Women often process issues around trauma and coping differently than men. Many women also have life experiences that make it difficult to be around men. Our women’s group lets you gather and learn in a space where you can be yourself.
- Deep connections: Our intimate group setting helps you build bonds and thrive within a community of women who are on similar journeys. You learn from each other and recover together.
- Shared path toward healing: Participants in our women’s group find strength in sharing their experiences. They often feel validated and encouraged and enjoy celebrating their wins and the successes of other women.
- Focus on your needs: Your voice matters here. We focus on topics like trauma, relationships, caregiver stress, domestic abuse, gender discrimination and other issues that matter to you as a woman.
- Calming atmosphere: Our cozy program space has comfortable and relaxing seating options. We meet in a circle with soothing lighting to promote your healing.
- Virtual programming: If you can’t be with us in person, we offer a virtual option. You can attend, see and share with the group using virtual meeting technology.
- Caring staff: You’re our guest when you’re here, and we’re here to listen to you. We care for you and try to make you feel like the special person you are.

Our Approach to Women’s Outpatient Therapy
We use powerful, evidence-based therapies to support your healing. We ground our program in trauma-informed care, helping you understand your mental health, leverage your strengths and build practical, goal-oriented solutions for meaningful recovery. Through approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), you can learn to rewire negative thought patterns and manage intense emotions.
Specialized programs we offer include:
- Art and music therapy: This creative approach uses artistic self-expression to help you process emotions and trauma that may be difficult to put into words.
- Somatic therapy: We focus on releasing tension in the body to regulate your nervous system.
- Reiki: A Japanese healing therapy, Reiki promotes relaxation and energy flow.
