The Women’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a short-term stabilization program designed to address behavioral, emotional and mental health needs that are unique to women. The Women’s Program provides trauma-informed treatment focusing on a broad range of mental health conditions and life transition issues that impact a woman’s mental health and functioning. Our model of care provides a safe space for women to seek compassionate and non-judgmental care in an outpatient setting.
The mission for the Women program is to support and encourage women to establish and maintain safety, to share and process their experiences and learn coping skills to manage emotions, life stressors and trauma symptoms in a healthy way. Our goal is to help women understand their symptoms and learn how to incorporate effective, evidence-based coping strategies into daily life. This program is designed to empower women to manage their symptoms independently and work toward sustainable wellness.

The Women’s program runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Fuller Hospital. You or your loved one will attend four groups daily, each 45 minutes to one hour in length. The size of the group is typically six to twelve members. Our treatment team makes a conscious effort to tailor each day’s group topics to meet the current needs of the individuals in the program.
Patients will also have individual meetings with our clinicians and medication provider.
The length of stay in the PHP program is typically two weeks or longer, depending upon clinical presentation and needs.
For those eligible, we may offer a virtual Women’s PHP through telehealth. The virtual PHP offers the same confidential, evidenced-based programming and resources as the in-person PHP.
Our multidisciplinary team consists of qualified counseling professionals, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and discharge planners.
Our PHP clinical team utilizes a trauma-informed approach to all aspects of treatment. Our dedicated staff provide a safe, compassionate, supportive and therapeutic environment as you navigate your wellness journey.
